What A Great Weekend!!

After 2 1/2 months of Sunday rehearsals a beautiful concert came to life. I was asked this past July by the General Music Committee of the church to conduct a Relief Society choir. Well, this past Friday, November 14, it came to fruition. A beautiful choir of 120 women from Taylorsville sang their hearts out in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square. It was so cool because I got to conduct present, alumni and mothers of students I have or am currently teaching. Also came a group of new women that were so much fun to teach and get to know. We sang compositions from women around the country, and what an honor. My great friend Bonnie was my accompanist. What a pair we made. It was so spiritual and uplifting and I am so glad I was given the opportunity. My dear sweet husband Glenn was there and my parents came from New Mexico which made it a perfect evening. I am still on a high from that awesome experience.

Me acting goofy in the rehearsal I am sure!!!!

The awesome alto section. What a fun group of ladies I got to work with.

A walking we will go!!!

Austyn is growing so fast! It seems like her new tricks are coming faster and faster. This weekend was no exception. My mom and dad were here for a concert I had and Grandma Sue Sue came home after some shopping with a new toy. A new shopping cart. I had mentioned Glenn and I wanted to get her a toy she can stand and walk with and Sue Sue delivered. At first she just knelt at it and played and then Sunday night Glenn and I went to a meeting and Ian and Kendra (Glenn's brother and wife) watched her while we were gone. When we came home they told us she walked with her new toy. I did not believe. Well, good thing for cell phones. They got a recording. Ian and Kendra were so excited they got to see it first. I am too. So, I thought I would share our news with you all. The cell phone was a bit fuzzy so we got another one this morning. I am so in love with her. What a great girl.

Happy Halloween

Isn't this the cutest little rabbit you have ever seen? We went to our ward "Trunk or Treat" on Wednesday and then hit a few houses on Friday night before the cute little rabbit was so tired. She would fall asleep between houses. Those darn parents. Oh, and by the way: SHE'S CRAWLING!!!! Wow, life has gotten crazy around our house.

Tractors and Pumpkins

This year has been so great. Glenn and I are getting to do alot of "first" with Austyn and it is so much fun. We took her to a pumpkin patch today and I think we had more fun than she did. I know Glenn did, there were all sorts of tractors. Yes, even John Deere. It was like a boy in a candy shop. Austyn of course was more interested in the straw and dirt on the ground then anything else, but it was so fun to watch her explore. The best part was bringing home 3 pumpkins for our little family. What a great feeling that was. Life is truly great.

Bruiser Tarrant

And the winner is Austyn "the bruiser" Tarrant. Actually I think the chair won on this one. Austyn was at the sitters today and fell off the couch hitting the chair and got her first bruise. Jana (the sitter) said she did really well with it especially after she was given a bottle. Just thought I would share our first and I am sure not our last furniture encounter. At least she can laugh about it. I just love her little smile. :)

Oh The Things I'll Do For My Kids!!!

I never thought in a million years I would add this to my list of adventures, but here is proof. Oh yes you see correctly, a dunking booth. We were able to get a good list of teachers involved and I was not supposed to be one of them, but Glenn told me I better bring some extra clothes just in case. Well, we needed a bit of business and so I got in. Made quite a bit I might add. Boy was it cold!!!! It took my breath away everytime. Wow!!! I sure love these kids and am so glad I was able to help them. Have a great day everybody.

Fun with Daddy!!!

Glenn got to stay home with Austyn last Friday and he was able to get some really cute pictures. There is one picture however we are not sure what she is up to. Glenn did check for a dirty diaper and to his suprise it was NOT DIRTY. However there were no complaints. I wonder what she will think when she sees this blog someday? I will laugh my head off. What great times!!!!

Silver Lake

While Glenn's sister Ann Marie was visiting this past week from Oklahoma we took time for a long awaited family photo. We went to Silver Lake near Brighton ski resort and found a beautiful spot. We don't get to see each other near enough. We sure love them all.

July 24th Parade

We ventured out on July 24th to our very first Days of 47 Parade and it was huge. President Monson was in the lead car and of course we saw lots of bands and beauty queens. The polynesian bands rocked!!! We had a great time with Ann Marie and her kids and also Ian and Kendra. Austyn did really well for the most part but had at least one moment of discomfort.

Sweet Baby Austyn

We took Austyn to get her 6 month pictures today. I can't believe how time flies. What an angel she was. My heart was so happy and warm watching her take her first pictures, I can't believe this little girl is ours. Heavenly Father sent us such a special little one. Enjoy the pictures, I know I will.

My sweet boy Glenn came home from work on Thursday with a nasty burn. He touched an exhaust with his right hand when he was loading a plate compactor (whatever that is) Lol!!! and put a second degree burn on his palm. Talk about painful. Get better cute boy.
